Smallmouth Bass

June to October

Mid May produces an abundance of huge, pre-spawn fish. With such a generous smallmouth population the State of New York has opened a trophy season which runs from the first  Saturday in May to the third Saturday in June.

With catches averaging over 60 fish per day and several fish in the 4 to 5 pound class along with the occasional 6, this is a perfect time of year to catch a trophy. The regular season runs from the third week in June and tapers off by mid October. The fishing is very consistent throughout the whole season.  This is a great time of year to bring the family and enjoy all that
the Niaraga Frontier has to offer.

Double Trouble!

Smallmouth Bass thrive in the super oxygenated water of the Niagara River, and throughout the shores and shoals of Lake Ontario during the summer months.

The size and number of these bronze-backed beauties will astound you!
