June to October
Mid May produces an abundance of huge, pre-spawn fish. With such
a generous smallmouth population the State of New York has opened a trophy
season which runs from the first Saturday in May to the third Saturday in
June.

With catches averaging over 60 fish per day and several fish
in the 4 to 5 pound class along with the occasional 6, this is a perfect
time of year to catch a trophy. The regular season runs from the third week
in June and tapers off by mid October. The fishing is very consistent
throughout the whole season. This is a great time of year to bring the
family and enjoy all that the Niaraga Frontier has to offer. |
